ARKITEMA
The studio already had an online presence, but it no longer reflected its evolution, growth, and international recognition. Our task was to redesign their website from the ground up—preserving the essence of Arkitema’s identity while elevating the experience to align with their current creative stature and digital ambitions.
Project Overview
Client Background
Arkitema is a leading Scandinavian architecture firm with over 650 professionals across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Known for their human-centered, sustainable approach, they design across scales—from small refurbishments to large infrastructural and urban planning projects.
Objective
While Arkitema had an existing website, it no longer reflected their growth, ambition, or recognition as one of Scandinavia’s most influential architecture studios. The goal was to rebuild the platform from scratch to reflect their creative maturity, international acclaim, and award-winning portfolio.
Scope
Reimagine the firm’s online identity through modern art direction.
Design a fully responsive, intuitive website that presents the scope and values of Arkitema.
Develop a scalable system to showcase their extensive portfolio and editorial presence.
Integrate CMS for ease of updates across offices and languages.

Key Features
A neutral-toned palette and modernist typography reflect their professional yet approachable character. Layouts were built around architectural grids, emphasizing clarity, legibility, and flow.
Inspirations
Modernist architecture, Nordic design language, editorial websites from the publishing world (e.g., Gestalten, Rizzoli).
Execution

Mapped Arkitema’s brand evolution and digital gaps. Defined a design direction rooted in architectural elegance and timeless hierarchy.
Phase 2 – UX & Content Strategy

Phase 3 – Design & Prototyping
Built clean, modular layouts using architectural grid systems. Prototyped dynamic interactions and page transitions that reflect the studio’s precision.
